About us

The West Coast Climate Equity Association is society of climate activists and writers concerned with the threat of runaway global warming. We believe it is essential to provide current, honest and accurate information on dangerous climate change so as to help people act in time to prevent immeasurable harm to humanity and our Earth’s biosphere. We are based in British Columbia, Canada.

Our purpose:

  • to research and inform on the implications of the global climate emergency faced by our World today. We will seek equitable solutions and explore all safe and workable economic, social, political, ecological and technological remedies,
  • to encourage circulation of honest and accurate information by non-governmental organizations, the scientific community and the media on the threat of global climate change; and
  • to stimulate discussion and assist in the publication of letters and articles by informed members of the public.

We focus primarily on global issues, or local issues that have a global effect. Some of the articles we will post will be controversial, and we will not always agree with all the content. But we hope to awaken the collective human consciousness to the implications of impending climate crisis and encourage people all over the World to take action.

It is our profound belief that we humans, given accurate, understandable information on the threat that uncontrollable climate change poses to our very existence, will change our way of seeing our World and take action in time to prevent disaster.

We have the intelligence to do this. The human brain contains about 100 billion neurons and “can be described as the most complex known object in the universe…it is capable of ongoing, massive microstructural change.” From The Brain That Changes Itself, by Norman Doidge, MD.
